South Side Social Services Agency Honors Firm at Its Annual Meeting

CHICAGO, November 11, 2008 – Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP has been awarded with the South Central Community Services’ Outstanding Sponsor Recognition Certificate. The honor was presented at the nonprofit’s annual board of directors meeting, in recognition for Wildman Harrold’s generous and ongoing support.
In addition to its financial contributions, Wildman Harrold provides regular pro bono legal services to South Central Community Services (SCCS), and is currently representing the organization in a matter before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Haddox and her colleague Julie Nichols Matthews, an associate in Wildman’s IP Department, accepted the Outstanding Sponsor Recognition Certificate on the firm’s behalf.

“Thanks to Wildman Harrold’s belief in our mission, South Central has been able to continue to provide quality educational services, mental health counseling, and health and wellness programs for a client base that encompasses all age groups,” said Dr. Felecia Blasingame, SCCS’ President and CEO. “It is our pleasure to recognize Wildman Harrold for their generous support of our organization.”

Founded in 1970 by residents of the Chatham/Avalon communities, SCCS has grown into a comprehensive social service agency that offers 13 different programs and services from five facilities. Its 25-member Board of Directors is composed of leaders from Chicago’s corporate, government, and education communities. The agency primarily serves the Avalon Park, Burnside, Chatham, Englewood, Greater Grand Crossing, and South Shore neighborhoods, assisting individuals and families with the myriad of economic, educational, psychological and social challenges confronting them.
